Job Objectives
To lead the overall strategic direction, operations, and growth of the organization by providing visionary leadership, driving business development, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining strong relationships with government authorities, clients, and key stakeholders.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and execute the company's strategic plans and business objectives.
- Provide overall leadership and direction to all departments and project teams.
- Oversee the successful execution of construction and infrastructure projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.
- Drive business development initiatives and identify new growth opportunities.
- Lead tendering, contract negotiations, and project acquisition activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.
- Monitor financial performance, budgets, cash flow, and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
- Establish and maintain effective operational policies and procedures.
- Identify business risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Represent the organization at industry forums, government meetings, and business events
Essential Work Activities
- Develop and drive organizational strategy and business objectives
- Oversee project execution across all construction and infrastructure divisions
- Lead business development, tendering, and contract acquisition
- Monitor financial performance, cash flow, and profitability
- Build and maintain key relationships with government bodies and clients
- Ensure statutory compliance and risk management across the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred
Years of Experience
15+ Years of experience in the construction and infrastructure industry, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role such as CEO, COO, Director, General Manager, or equivalent
Person Requirements
- Proven expertise in PWD, Government, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction operations, project management, and government contracting procedures.
- Demonstrated success in business development and organizational growth.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and people management skills.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and P&L accountability.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory and government environments.
- High integrity, professionalism, and strategic thinking ability.
